TX Orbit Teacher Guide Book 3

Orbit strengthens decoding skills while building fluent reading and deep word knowledge, enabling students to decode and understand the meaning of multisyllabic words, preparing them for the increasing academic demands of upper elementary grades. A breakthrough supplemental literacy program, Orbit bridges foundational skills and advanced word knowledge, bringing together decoding, morphology, and vocabulary instruction.   

The Teacher Guide Book 3 is the last teacher’s guide needed for TX Orbit instruction. In Book 3 (Units 18-25), students apply semantic reasoning to interpret and explain figurative language. Authentic opportunities are provided for students to use vocabulary expressively by expanding sentences and crafting one-sentence summaries of content passages.
